That's what it means. When you half press the shutter, the steady shot activates and its effect will be visible through the viewfinder. Previous Sony cameras, A77 and A99 included, did not do this and only activated the steady shot once the shutter was fully pressed, and thus not visible in the viewfinder.

That's GREAT news for me. I predict this will increase the sales of the Tamron 150-600mm and other long zoom non stabilized lenses. Worthwhile improvement, for sure. Thanks, Paul.
