Hi davids8560,

I think you've nailed the explanation already:  the shot from the Stylus 1 is a 1/30th exposure, while the other shot, from the K-3, is a 1 second exposure.  And you say it yourself, you were using a tripod but you used the shutter button!  I think people would expect to do such a shot with the timer instead.

I know the K-3 is all the rage right now, but I am just starting out with a brand new K-5 and I'm very happy with it. Just learning.
