This has a tableau vivant feel, which is something I have a special affinity to. It almost seems as if the figures are placed by your direction - they are all open and involved in their individual activity - that it takes the progression of unengaged to engaged to unengaged to another level. For me, this is photography on another plane.

I grapple with the idea of emotional depth and content in an image. When it's absent, a street image becomes nothing than just someone walking, sitting, etc.. Not having emotion in a photograph is as unfortunate as not having a strong composition. The realization that the emotion can be simply a sharing of the moment captured between the photographer and the viewer is enough to satisfy that part of the equation for a good street image. This scene called to you, and you responded; your response calls to me, and I respond. Thus the emotional aspect is present.
