At equal viewing size (print or on monitor) the D800 will produce files with higher resolution and better dynamic range (at base ISO and up to some point) than the Df.

This goes for all lenses that can out resolve 16 MP.

If you're viewing at 100% you'll be able to see the effects of camera shake and optical issues with the lens more clearly than with the lower resolution camera.
