Are you talking about focus accuracy with fast lenses? In low light? On moving subjects?

Surely a pricier camera with a better AF system will help. With 9 lens i'd try the K3 before jumping ship as it addresses all the problems above. With APS-C cameras, i don't think you'll find much better than the K3 AF-wise, or other.

Of course it also depends on the lens used. Some focus faster, some more accurately. Pentax  lens have notoriously been slow focusers. I occasionally get to play with a Canon 1D series camera and fast white pro lenses. Yes, they're considerably faster. It depends on what you need, but to get a system with serious speed, you need to shell out some serious bucks.... 

I have a K5 btw, the same AF system as the K30, i think.
