GH4 question: what first lens for video

Dear all,

I'm getting ready to buy a GH4 to use for both stills and video.  The video application will be as one of the cameras my students use making short documentaries.  I expect to build on my collection of primes (I already own the Panny 20mm (ver I) and the 14mm pancake), but a competent zoom is a convenience for a light weight kit.

So:  Is it Panny 12-35 time?  I also own the two Oly consumer zooms -- the 14-42 mk II and the 40-150mm, but I'm not sure if either will be satisfactory capturing high-bit-rate video. (Not at this time buying the expansion unit, but the camera still records a lot of information to internal cards).

Would the Oly pro zoom be a reasonable alternative?  I'm doubtful about the super zoom, but actual experience shooting field video with them would be gratefully received.
