Another solution would be to use the new 18-35mm f/3.5-4.5 as your daylight, filter-using, practical, walkaround wide-angle zoom, use a Rokinon 14mm f/2.8 to handle extension to 14mm, very low light,  and astrophotography, and use the money you saved for those two lenses together vs. the 14-24mm alone to pay for your trip.
