D4S newbie question on Autofocus
Apr 24, 2014

there are quite a number of options to choose from and i know the manual has explanations of each but i am still a bit confused as to which mode i should set to for general use.

can i ask the experts out there what are the 2 most commonly used modes if it is for let's say 1) portraits or single subject of my baby moving around eg.

2) trying to capture my son running around and

3) group photos and or with several subjects that might be moving and lastly how to set face detection to be on and working as i think i set it on in menu but maybe i'm using the wrong autofocus mode i don't see it recognizing any faces when i try it on my family with wife and son in the frame.

appreciate your kind advice and expertise in advance.
