Charis,

cannot say much about Canon or Nikon. I bougth a K-30 just 2 weeks ago as a back-up for my K-5 which I love. I was pleased about the solid and ergonomic feel of the K-30, quite close to the K-5. WR, bright viewfinder, double control wheels and in-body lens stabilization are important to me. As I shoot mainly static objects, fast focus and video are less important to me. I think the K-30 offers a lot for the money and even it was launched 2 years ago, it doesn't seem out-dated to me.
Cheers, Hans

Thanks Hans! Makes me feel better after having ordered the K30.

Was going through your folio and wow! Some of your shots are simply amazing. Hopefully, one day, will be able to reach close to these levels.

Cheers!

Charis,

Congrats to your new camera - I'm sure you will enjoy it!

Thank you for your positive feedback.  There is only a limited number of my pictures on this site (the good hits  -  mostly by chance). There is no doubt that you will reach this level soon, simply shoot lots of pictures..

Cheers
