If it's a routine part of processing, one could reduce the contrast and increase the exposure and the jpgs would probably come out closer to what is desired. But if she has a system that works why change it, right? Then again, since it's jpgs, doing what I suggested would give you more detail in the shadows, and that would be a good thing. But there are probably other tradeoffs.

Perhaps the biggest benefit to shooting RAW is not needing to think about any of that while shooting.
