movement of shutter curtains

I've found some high-speed video of shutter actuation. I see the mirror pops up, then 1st curtain followed by second (up to around 1/200), then the curtains start to follow each other more closely until they're just making a small "slit" and effectively "wiping" light across the sensor at speeds of 1/2000 to 1/4000.

Just a curious query; what happens after each curtain movement? Does it do the same in both directions or quickly go back to start location for each successive curtain movement if shooting a burst?

All the high-speed videos, I've found, on YouTube only show one curtain movement.
