Well of course the 7-14 is an f4 lens but I get your point.

However, what you have to realize is how insanely wide the DOF is on a 7MM M43 lens.

If you focus 10ft away at f4 (the lowest f stop) everything between 2.2ft to infinity will be in focus. So essentially at f4 everything is in focus. So really stopping down makes virtually no difference to your DOF.

I shoot pretty much everything at f4 - I dont think there is any particular advantage in terms of sharpness in stopping down to f5.6 (but I havent really looked into it.)
