Yes - exactly the point I made earlier - either get the verticals parallel OR go for the convergent effect. In between you fail!!;-)

Re the sky - I think a bit of darkening the cloud (grey areas) in LR would achieve something. After all, your photo is of the building!

I always appreciate when some one takes the time and makes the effort to demonstrate what they are trying to say. Thanks. I think your version looks very nice. But I also see what you saying about the vertical lines not being vertical.
