The less desirable lenses made by Minolta and Konica sell for peanuts but they're just as good as Canon FD lenses. The thing that sells Canon FD lenses is L glass, but they're normal lenses outside of their Low Dispersion (L) lenses are just the same as Konica AR mount Hexanon lenses. In fact I tend to really like the image reproduction of AR mount lenses.

Things like that are mostly just name value though and people pay through the teeth for Leica, Zeiss and etc mostly just for the name.

I totally agree with you, that's why I was looking for legacy sharp and fast lens regardless of the mount and make.

You can get some really fast aperture manual focus lenses which are great for portraits such as that 52mm for nix.

Is it worth to add yet another 52mm lens from Konica which will translate into a portrait FF 104mm lens ?
