Here's what I bought

I already have the Panasonic 20mm f1.7 but wanted faster AF. I tried the Olympus 17mm f1.8 and the Sigma 19mm f2.8 (both versions) in my local camera shop Srsmicrosystems. Sharpness seemed to be virtually the same between the 17mm and 19mm. The AF speed of the Olympus was quicker but the Sigma is no slouch; faster than the Pana 20mm.

Instead of selling the Panasonic 20mm and buying the Olympus 17mm, I kept the Panasonic and just added the Sigma 19mm DN 'A' to my kit. I now have fast AF along with good image quality. The new 'A' version of the 19mm has a quicker start up time than the old version. At £125.00 it just seemed like a no brainer.

I've done a sharpness comparison between the Panasonic 20mm and the Sigma 19mm if you're interested.

If fast maximum aperture is not an issue, I can also recommend the Panasonic 14-45mm. My own tests showed sharpness to be the same as the 20mm f1.7.

My kit:

Olympus E-M5, Panasonic G6, 45mm f1.8, 20mm f1.7, Sigma 30mm f2.8, Sigma 19mm f1.8, Pana 14-45mm, Metz 50 AF-1
