What about the compact Panasonic Lumix 14-42 X Power Zoom lens?

I got one for my GX1 kit and returned it. It had the dreaded shutter shock problem on the GX1. It also wasn't particularly sharp. The main annoyance is that it demanded I shut off the camera to swap lenses. When you turn on the camera it extends, to make it contract, you MUST shut off the camera. Yes, I know you're supposed to shut off to swap lenses, but who does it all the time or want to? Not me!

I picked up a 14-42mm II and was much happier with it. It has MUCH better image quality nice size and weight and very fast autofocus. AND it comes with a nice lens hood.
