Why the exposure comp dial? (when we can use Lightroom)

This is a total newb question, but I look at the different Fuji cameras (X100s, XE-2, XT-1) and see they all have prominent exposure comp dials.  If I can use Lightroom to adjust the exposure in any pic I take (I always shoot RAW), why are these dials so prominent in Fuji models?

Please go easy on me.
