Why, it even LOOKS like a shutter!

Now that I think about it, I once had a camera with a Copal square shutter (look it up) that hung on one side for a few milliseconds before it broke free and completed closing. This looks like a similar phenomenon.

It's definitely not the shutter... I can see the dark bar on the lcd BEFORE I press the shutter button
