I doubt there ever will be a D4x - and not 645Zis responsible for that. IMO D3x was wrong move in terms of body, D800 is it's replacement. Actually D700 also was mistake - it was too good for it's position. That's why we also won't see a real replacement for it, just a whole bunch of somehow crippled ones.

As for 645Z - it won't kill anything (unless falling on someone's head from the roof), but it is a right move. It's sensitivity range is far more useful for a field work than 645D was. I can imagine myself shooting weddings just with a couple of 645Z's - well I would need to rob a bank before
