X-T1: is there any current camera with even worse video quality?
Apr 15, 2014

here has been criticism for having no dedicated video button (OMG), but here even the end result is extremely poor, far beyond handling opinions.

http://www.dpreview.com/reviews/fujifilm-x-t1/11 is load and clear:

But even so, its movie quality really isn't very good, by any stretch of the imagination.

There's an extraordinary amount of false color in the water, along with strong moiré in the background building.

The resolution is low, and moiré and false color tend to be very pronounced, while low-contrast detail tends to get smoothed-away.

The Pentax K-3 isn't especially outstanding as a movie camera, but it's much better than the X-T1.

On top of that:

  • No changing aperture during video
  • No M mode capture
  • No TAv mode capture
  • exposure compensation limited to +/- 2
  • wrong framing
  • no image stabilisation at all if not in the lens

Which current camera has worse video?

Yes, the Nikon Df, but asides?

Fujifilm X-T1 Nikon Df Pentax K-3
