Please advise on best native lens choices that will take advantage of the A6000 new technology. Would like the best reach possible.

the 70-200/4 OSS. However, you'd be reach limited at 200mm max. as there is nothing longer available in E-mount !!

The 1.4x TC is a big unknown so far IQ-wise, although there were few reports that a6k can do OSPDAF up to f/11,

Is it a true 200mm max or is there a multiplier to make it higher?

  • as you've noticed there is 1.4x TC, which would make the 70-200/4 into 100-280/5.6; and as OSPDAF on a6k can supposedly be still operational at f/11, the f/5.6 should not be a problem (hopefully, there are also reports that it does struggle with moving targets in not so great light);
  • the open question about this TC+lens combo is the drop in IQ as TCs always cause some degradation);
  • OTOH you might perhaps noticed at Sochi Olympics or recent World Skating championships in Saitama, that there were plenty of 500/4Ls,  600/5.6Ls (and I've even spotted one 800/5.6L) scanning the rinks there - which puts even 280mm in some perspective (those rinks are not that huge ),
