Hi Michel, I'm sure you're right that it's a Melitaea, but judging from photos on the web it must be a female Melitaea didyma (Spotted Fritillary). I didn't get to see the upper wing surface of this particular gal. In fact, it was my first attempt at a butterfly closeup with the LX7 and she was patient enough to pose endlessly while I tinkered with the settings. But I've often seen butterflies looking like didymas in flight in that locality.
