G1X Mark II -vs- S110
2

I have a Canon S110 and was excited to see the large 1.5" sensor size in the G1X Mark II...until I noticed that the pixel count is essentially the same as the S110...and the zoom range is identical.

My interest in a larger sensor is making large prints, 40" and larger.  What is the GX1 Mark II actually going to do for me that the S110 doesn't besides cost a lot more money?

I assume it has to have slightly better general image quality, but what will it do for large print sizes without a meaningful increase in pixel count?  Isn't it really just a larger S110 (or S120)?

I must be missing something, but...
