As I mentioned in another thread, the UK computer manufacturer, Chillblast, was recommended in the recent issue of the Journal of the Royal Photographic Society, so I looked them up on the web. They claim that their Chillblast Fusion Photo OC Lite is designed specifically for photo editing. It is overclocked and water cooled, but uses Windows 8 not 8.1
I previously looked at the Dell XPS 8700 desktop computer, which seems highly specified.
I only need to update my old computer to edit TIFF images, 45 to 100MB each image, using Elements 12.
However, I must admit that I do not understand most of the technical specifications; to me, computers are a bit of a mystery and I would welcome Forum Members' comments.
I do not have to make a hasty decision, I need to read more Forum posts about computer choices!
