I tried the D800e gripped with the 80-400G on the Pro-2 and I think it's too small a lens for that big of a gimbal.  Google and you will find a review or a video with someone using a 500mm with the Jr. We tend to think that bigger and pricier is better, but with the 80-400 on there, I think you're hauling around bulk unnecessarily.
