I travel with a D800E with a 70-200 attached. I also carry a 2X tel-extender, a 50-mm and a 10-mm. Except for the 70-200, the other glass doesn't weigh much and takes up little space.
I carry it all (plus more) in a Kata 3N1-30 and I can keep the body with the 70-200 attached in the lower quick-access compartment - where I can get it out in under 10-sec. The Kata is incredibly comfortable and highly versatile.

Hi guys,

I recently did a complete reorganization of my gear.

I used to travel with a D3s, 14-24mm, 24-70mm,70-200mm and 85mm f1.4d.

I had more than enough...so, for my next travel I purchased a D800 and the new 85mm f1.8G (wow, now that's light !).

I was thinking of getting the 35mm f1.8 as well...

Now I would bring only the D800, 2 primes and the 70-200mm.

Anyone out there having done it before ? Any thoughts or experience to share ?

Thanks in advance for your inputs,

Regards,

M
