Do I need to replace my Eye-One Display 2 colorimeter?
Mar 31, 2014

My apologies if I'm posting this in the wrong forum but as it's a colour management issue I can't figure out which forum might be a better one.

I bought an Eye-One Display 2 colorimeter in July 2005 and I've always taken good care of it.  I just got a print back from WHCC and there is a slight but noticeable colour shift in the yellows towards the greens.  WHCC is a CMS aware printing service and the colour from prints from them in the past has always been almost dead on.  I hadn't sent anything out to be printed in awhile so while the problem may be at their end it might also be at mine.  The monitor is a NEC PA241W-BK that's less than a year old and I had recalibrated a week before sending the image off for printing.  (I use Lightroom 5 and PS CS4.)

I am wondering if it's possible that the colorimeter may no longer be accurate because it's almost nine years old.  I'd appreciate anyone's thoughts on this.
