As others have suggested trying all sorts of solutions, I would like to add to the VirtualBox option. I'm not sure wine is a great way forward, my experiences have not been great. But Virtualbox works well for me (I use a Linux 64-bit host). The virtualbox option should also install and work on Win7/Vista.

But Windows95 is a complicated beast of an OS, and setting up the client is not trivial. As some have pointed out, sound, screen, integration with the host are not straightforward. So have a look at these links, they provide some good practical info on setting up a Win95/98 client.

If you use a windows host for Virtualbox, networking might be a little flaky, there's a VMPlayer which might work well, on a Linux host my networking is much better when using Virtualbox, with VMWare I keep running into weird connectivity issues.
