70D color cast in viewfinder

I just got back from Best Buy where I was comparing the feel of the 70D with a Rebel. While looking through the viewfinder, everything was noticeably tinted - sort of a light serpia. I didn't look at the LV. The view through the Rebel was neutral.

Can anyone explain this?
