The LA-EA2 with the IS turned up a bit and the drive set to 'fast continuous' makes all of the difference in the world.

with the IS turned up?? - how come, there is no IS with LA-EA2

LAEA2 adapter is for A-mount lenses. And A-mount bodies use in-body stabilization so there are very few A-mount lenses available with optical stabilization. In fact, I am not aware if any A-mount lens with stabilization outside of some Sigma lenses.

But, one can do just fine without stabilization. LAEA2+35/1.8 (A-mount) was my choice until recently and used mostly in low light.
