Screw-on filter jammed on the 24-70mm

So I recently bumped my 24-70mm into steel railing pretty hard (I know, I know). I had a screw-on UV filter attached, and it seems like the impact had jammed it in place. I had tried everything, including putting the lens in the freezer, warming it up with a hair dryer (I figured, metal expands and contracts), i tried my filter wrench, and pliers too. At this point, I don't care if I destroy the filter trying to get it off. Nothing has worked. I sent it to Nikon, but they're quoting me $600 for the job, so I'm wondering if anyone has any other tips on removing the jammed filter without wrecking the lens.

Thanks a million guys!
