Question about AF Fine-tune
Mar 23, 2014

When you are using a AF Fine-tuning setting that you generated for a lens, do you need to have the AF Fine-tune turned ON for it to work?  Likewise, when you mount another lens on the camera where you don't want AF Fine-tuning, must you turn it OFF, otherwise it will apply the fine tuning settings to whatever lens you have mounted on the camera?

Maybe I am missing something, but I felt the instructions on p. 270 of the D7100 User's Manual were not clear to me on this aspect.  I was able to do an AF-Fine tune, but I want to be sure of what I need to leave on or off for it to work when I want it and vice versa.

Can this feature be a hazard comparable to forgetting to reset EC?
