Minolta 80-200 f/2.8 (white version) sample | a900

Good morning,

I noticed a few days ago some people were looking at the Minolta 80-200 f/2.8 as a possible choice for the 70-200 or 80-200 range.

I do have one copy of the Minolta 80-200 f/2.8 (HS version, which is white), and I praised the quality of the lens.  It is relatively fast (f/2.8), sharp wide open (very sharp by stopping down just a bit), the AF is very fast and accurate, but what amazed me the most from this lens is the color rendition.

I strongly recommend the lens if you can find a good copy of that lens (KEH, ebay, Amazon)

The model is named Natasha, and the photo was taken with the a900:

1920 x 1200 resolution

100 % crop

Cheers,

moimoi

Photography is about time, space, expression, and - ultimately - capturing light. This formula may sound easy, but actually capturing the "ideal" photograph is far more complex to accomplish as our own perceptions and responses vary according to each individual. Photography is inherently driven by human subjectivity, but the general feeling is that a superb photograph is widely appreciated, as it commonly depicts a striking and universal concept. I believe this process should be sought by many of us, who deeply enjoy capturing and sharing photographs that embrace life and depict what we are.
