Again, thanks to all for your inputs and insight. Sorry to maybe disappoint all of you, but I decided to go for neither the X-T1 nor the X-E2. I have ordered the X-E1 from Adorama for $799. Could not ignore the discount offered and the 'gifts'. My reasons

1. X-T1 is too expensive for me to justify the improvements.

2. From what I could infer from forums, X-E1 with firmware upgrades is about 95% as good as X-E2. I did not see a reason to pay $500 for 5%.

3. You get the excellent 18-55 mm lens with the X-E1 which itself has a cost of nearly $700.

In additiion to the above reasons, at the risk of again incurring people's wrath, I found that I like the X-E1 image quality better than X-E2/X-T1. Waxy skin tones, etc.

This is my first foray into the Fuji system and, I think, this would be a good start for me.
