Hi

There is no doubt that the 75mm is the better and faster lens. If I was wanting a portrait/event lens to go with my 45mm Oly I would have bought one for sure. However I use a 35-100 for "street" shooting, and quite often you do not have the time to zoom with the feet, either because of space or time constraints, or you wish to be a little less obvious, and the 35-100 is a nice lens and versatile with it.

It really does depend on useage. Also if sharpness and DOF control are as important to you as the image itself, then the 75mm will probably give you more pleasure. I mean that in a positive way.
