Samyang / Rokinon 24mm f/1.4 for Milky Way Photography?

Nikon user here. I am looking for a lens to photograph the milky way (with landscape occupying part of the frame). However, i want something which will allow me to use an aperture larger than f/2.8.

I currently own nikon 14-24mm lens (here is one i took few years back http://500px.com/photo/3537002 ). While the lens is fantastic, i want to shoot at f/2.0 or larger. This is because shooting at f/2.8 just takes too much of postprocessing time for D800E files and the end result is not that great even after all that work.

Anybody tried Samyang 24mm at f/2.0 (i heard it is rather soft at f/1.4) and compared that against nikon 14-24mm @ f/2.8?
