In terms of IQ, probably yes. And it certainly depends on how you shoot. My view is that it's very useful to have one of the fast normalish primes. I have the PL25 and it's a full two stops faster. In some situations you just can't make up those two stops. And a lens like a 17 f/1.8 can be much less intrusive on the street or in many settings. The 45 I'd say it depends on how much you do portraiture and how much you value reduced DOF. Unless you shoot a lot at 12mm a lot and really value the smaller size, I don't see why you'd have both the 12 and 12-40. Shooting wide I generally want more DOF rather than less so the speed difference is not that significant. Again, if you're doing lots of interiors, it may be.
