Is the 12-40mm good enough to forego 12mm, 17mm, 25mm and 45mm primes?

I don't have all of those primes, but I suspect it might.

Optically, the 12-40 is really very strong.

But of course, the primes will always keep their reason for being:

* they can be used when you want something smaller than the 12-40 to carry around

* they have their respective aperture speed advantage over the 12-40, and that extra stop (or that extra more than one stop) can be exactly what is needed or desired for certain tasks.

But as an allrounder, the µFT 12-40mm seems hard to beat (as was the FT 12-60).
