Yes, if theory it works. Still Olympus with their CD S-AF focusing using MFT lenses are faster than the Fuji using their hybrid AF system.

Ummm sure if you measure in milliseconds. In the end it's so close it's not worth mentioning. I've had both together and the are very close indeed. The Fuji has the upper hand in lower light however because they don't limit use of the Phase Detection to continuous but also use it in single focus mode. Hence better focus lock in dim light scenarios. otherwise in good light yes, the Oly locks a speck faster.
