Lens versus Sensor

I have the NEX 7, a few AF lenses (Sigma 30, SEL 18-55, SEL16), and a bunch of MF lenses.  I want more and better AF lenses.  Am I better off spending money on better lenses -- SEL 24, 50, maybe Touit 12 -- or thinking of going FF.  I must choose,  buying an A7 and a couple of FE primes is currently beyond my budget and my marriage.

So which is better: given both NEX 7 and A7 are 24mp, going for better lenses on NEX or moving to FF with say only the kit lens?

BTW I understand the high ISO difference -- I am thinking of more general photography, such as landscapes, still life with a tripod, or people in decent light.
