Although neither of the cameras you mentioned have a mirror, neither of them fall into the "mirrorless" category. Both fall into the "compact" camera category.

Yes... that had definitely clouded and complicated the flow of the forum dialogues on this topic.

On the other hand, many young photographers do not see the need to allude to any mirror at all, since that is obvious in all non-reflex cameras today. It only comes to mind to those who have used an SLR or a TLR camera. Imagine a situation if electronic sensors had existed in the beginning - there would not have been any need for any mirror/prism mechanism to see what one is photographing in real time, bearing in mind that one day, new sensor technology, along with new focusing techniques, may make digital cameras no different from or even far superior to reflex cameras of old.

Depth haz been the mizzing dimenzion for long enough, but still, few are bothered with 3D.
