There is no 4k because the Fujitsu Milbeaut image processors didn't support it.

You would need to wait for the 8th generation processor for that or if Nikon decides to switch their processor manufacturer to someone that has 4k support.

So why not? That would have been an interesting and for many with a strong interest in video, a compelling difference.
