I would like peoples opinion on which they consider the best sensor type for viewing on a monitor or for printing, say from 6x8 to 12x16. Also if you are aimost never going to print but only review your images on a monitor no matter how good, is there any reason to go beyond 10mp to 12mp? While we are at  it if you only shoot at iso 100-800 would you prefer a CCD sensor to a CMOS sensor? It seems to me that if we are happy with viewing our images on a monitor we have no need to pursue the best available picture IQ because we can never use it. On the other hand someone like Ming Thein has to shoot a perfect 36mp-39mp medium format image to produce one of his ultimate image quality 10 x 15 prints.
