Preventing pre-flash from firing slaves

I want to use my newly bought SB700 in SU-4 mode, triggering it using a low power flash from the pop-up flash on D5200.  Reading on internat, I have understood that I need to diable pre-flashing of my pop-up flash otherwise SB700 will fire too soon, even before the shutter opens.

This article (http://dpanswers.com/content/genrc_flash.php#nettl) suggests that "On a Nikon camera, you disable pre-flash by selecting manual flash mode." But I am not clear what it exactly means. How do I do that on D5200?
