Lawsuit, lawsuit, lawsuit.

As an example... My wife and I are on-line (voice chat - long story). We're the only Canadians, everyone else is American. One of the women is telling us about how her mom fell at the mall and broke her ankle. Everyone says "I'd sue!" except us. We say "is she okay?"

That's rather typical in my experience.

So yeah, go ahead and do what you do best.

An attorney general does not sue people. In this case he would investigate to see if there is fraud going on.
Nikon may be just doing an overzealous job of covering themselves from future accountability. They nay be trying to jeep anyone from coming back to them and saying " But this other thing is not working correctly and YOU JUST WORKED ON IT!"
But I don't think so IMO.
