D4 - switching between HDR and single shot
I switch between settings on my D4 that I use for single shot landscapes to 5 or 7 shot HDR sequences very often and was just wondering if anyone had any suggestions for the best methodology to accomplish this as in custom settings or whatever. For HDR’s I use:
- Aperture mode
- CH - continuous high speed mode
- -2,-1,0,+1,+2 EV bracketing for 5 shot sequences
- It would be nice if it were possible to keep the mirror up during the entire sequence and press the shutter release once without holding it down through the sequence.
When doing single shots I use:
- A or P mode
- S - single shot
- Usually no bracketing
The other settings vary for both so are not that important to automate. It would be nice if Nikon would add one more setting to the Release Mode Dial to do all this in one setting change, but maybe that would not make sense.
