Really? look at the posted image and tell me if it can't be done...

aaanouel, I'm pretty sure nannyg was employing sarcasm and humor in his post, and he knows that JPEGs can be manipulated quite a bit if desired.

Yes, that is correct.

I've had this discussion a number of times - enough that I assumed you would get it. My fault that you didn't. I used some of the common pro-RAW lingo in my little attempt at humor. I'm not in the mood to get into the discussion seriously again, but suffice it to say that yes, JPEGs can be pushed and pulled in PP plenty for my taste, and that I have not seen a pro-RAW-PP photo example yet that was BOTH an example of a photo I would consider attractive AND showed adjustments that were not at least significantly similar to adjustments one could easily make to a JPEG. One or the other, perhaps - but never both.

It's far more effective to try to take good photos to begin with than beat this dead horse over and over again.

I was prone to think you were some kind of RAW shooting fanatic, LOL!!!

I'm not a fan of anything but only of common sense, balance and logical priorities arrangement... in the image format case, both are good depending on what you want to do with them... but the original post example is a unexplainable justification for using any format over any other, isn't it? Ha!
