If you found a working 6X6 folder with a good lens keep it - it's a treasure!

I diddled around with an Ansco Speedex Special R 6X6 (re-badged Agfa Isolette III) and an ancient Voightlander Bessa 6X9 folder for a couple months - but I spent more time trying to plug holes in the bellows with automotive gasket goop than I did taking photos. When I did get results they were low contrast; and as soon as I opened the bellows a few times, more light leaks appeared.

I checked into proper repairs - replacement bellows would have to be custom made for about $50; a professional bellows installation, cleaning and rangefinder adjustment would easily run another $150 or more. They're now ornamental objects in my living room - pretty much all they're good for.

Colin.
