E-520 Shooting settings for aurora borealis
Mar 1, 2014

I have just heard that the aurora borealis is going to be visible tonight. (cloud cover not withstanding) tonight in my area. This is a very rare ocutrance this far south. (north wales) This happened on thursday night as well but before that not been seen here since the 50's

I want to try and get some good shots of it. I am going to try and get out in the country away from extraneous light. Can any of you recommend what settings i should do on my camera. I was thinking shutter priority mode, Long exposure maybe 30 seconds and ISO 100.

Can you recomend any setting better i should try?

Thanks Steve (the complete newbie)
