Honestly, I find it very good indeed.

It is crazy sharp even at f/2.4, the bokeh (i.e. the quality of the oof areas) is just gorgeous, and the DOF is shallow enough for close-up shots like this at f/2.4. Even the AF is quick enough for portraiture with the latest firmware.

The only additional benefits that I see in 'upgrading' to the 56/1.2 would be additional background separation in more distant full-body shots, and the ability to keep the shutter speed up and/or the ISO down in low light.

OTOH, I would lose a lot on close focus ability (the 56 only goes to ~1:10).

I am still pondering this...
